I have had trouble cleaning them with everything and had the same problem, until I found a jar large enough to put the brush in filled to the bristle level with thinner keeping it tightly sealed. (I exercise clean them prior to putting in the jar). When I demand them have out milkshake dry out and they piece of work like new brushes for months without beingness used or when I accept a project that gets a new glaze every twenty-four hours for a week. I've done all of the to a higher place - But I read that putting a little clothes softener in with the paint thinner besides keeps the bristles very soft ! I accept tried this and it does work !

Possibly non politically right but I found a quick dunk & swoosh in gasoline works better then whatsoever pigment thinner or solvent. After dunking, I squeeze out what I tin can by mitt & then utilize liquid dish lather (like dawn) & piece of work into the bristles to remove the gas. Rinse in hot water & allow to dry out. I find that placing a rubber band on it helps to keep shape.

I accept had them in the jar for over six months. The thinner has not affected them that I can tell. My wide castor is ~3 years quondam the narrow ones maybe 2 years one-time.(I merely take them out to use them now)

By cleaning before I usually squeeze the majority of the paint or other poly solids out of the castor then 1 rince to remove the majority of the solids th3n put the brush in bristles deep thinner and seal it. With poly that I may be continuing work within a calendar week I may not clear every bit much but proceed the bristles in thinner. Milkshake the excess thinner out and the castor is gear up for another coat.
