How To Clean Crayola Crayon Maker
Drawing and coloring are great methods to develop your child's creativity and fine motor skills. More often than not, crayon ends up everywhere but on the paper. Removing the crayon can be a hassle without the necessary materials. Below are a few methods to get crayon out of common household items and areas such as walls, wood, carpet, plastic chairs, clothes and fabric. Each method requires materials that can easily be found around your home or at your local grocery store.

1 Walls, Wood, and Plastic Chairs
Method 1
- Mix a baking soda and water solution.
- Dip a sponge in the solution and apply to the affected area using a circular motion.
- Wipe with a damp cloth.
Method 2
- Apply a non-gel toothpaste to the affected area.
- Scrub the toothpaste with a scrub brush.
- Wipe with a damp cloth.
Method 3
- Apply an oil based lubricant to the affected area.
- Wipe the area with a paper towel.
- If any residue remains, wash it off with soap and warm water in a circular motion.
Method 4
- Apply an all-purpose cleaner to an eraser sponge or paper towels.
- Scrub the affected area with the eraser sponge or paper towels.
Method 5
- Apply lemon essential oil to a paper towel.
- Wipe the affected area in a circular motion.
Method 6
- Apply heat to the affected area using a hair dryer.
- Move the hair dryer back and forth across the affected area.
- Wipe with a damp sponge.
Method 7
- Spray adhesive remover on the affected area.
- Wipe the affected area with a paper towel.
2 Carpet and Fabric Furniture
Method 1
- Freeze the wax from the crayon by placing ice-cubes on the affected area for a few minutes.
- Scrape away the now hardened wax.
- Use dish soap and warm water to remove the residue.
3 Clothes and Other Fabrics
Method 1
- Place the affected garment or fabric in the freezer.
- Scrape away the now hardened wax.
- Put the affected garment or fabric in the washing machine to remove the residue.
